Stone Mountain here I come!!

As the title says I am planning a vacation to Stone Mountain, GA. This will be my longest trip since I have owned the Stream (grandparents took me to Alaska & While scouting their American Adventure Southwest Caravan 10 years ago)
Any way I looking for great thing to do and see while there. This is not my first trip to this location however, it will be the first time i will be there for 7 days at the campground.

Does any one have any great insight? I will be arriving 7/26 and departing 8/1.

Thanks again

The laser show on Stone Mountain is a must see item. I saw it for about the 10th time a few months ago when I was in Atlanta on business.

The laser show at Stone Mountain is amazing, free and during your stay, happens every night!

For an idea of what there is to do at Stone Mountain State Park, I have a blog entry/campground review on my blog site:
Stone Mountain State Park | streaminacrossamerica.com
We only stayed for the Memorial Day Weekend at the campground, but I'd be glad to answer any questions that I can. We live about 45 minutes away and used to go to the laser show every summer and many times at the Christmas Holidays and Halloween. In addition to the activities I described on my blog, there is an outdoor history museum with many buildings that come from actual plantations from the 19th century, golf course, and paddle wheel river boat on the lake.

Shoot the 'hooch...

Do people still do that?

Also, I visited the "General" locomotive museum in Keenesaw. The new building and foundry was really nice. Little bit if a drive though.

I would just check to see what is going on in Atlanta. You are only about 30 minutes from down town atlanta. I think Marta (mass transit) goes to stone mountain.

Check out Access Atlanta
