Somes Sound View Campground

OK, I am going to Maine next week, trying to make a reservation at Somes Sound View Campround on Mnt Desert Island, Maine. I found the campground on the net, it looks wonderfull!! I can't get through by phone, tried all day. Anyone ever stay there? I am not one to make reservations/inquires by E-mail, I like to talk to people. Help? MPJ

Hello. The campground your interested in, at least when I stayed there, was primarily for small trailers, pop-ups and tents. Sites were small.
We had a pop-up when we camped there. Bass Harbor Campground is a very nice place and is on what they call the quiet side of the island.
My son and I are headind up there on 9/19.
