I found that one some time ago, and saved it....waiting for the perfect opportunity to post it.

It's a good one.

Hadn't thought of that strategy! Come to think of it - I said I wanted to cancel all my memberships with them and they didn't. You're probably on to something here!! 😀

No advice on the fridge, but I do have some advice on the tires.

The fact that you have rubber valve stems tells me that you do not have internal TPMS, but rather external TPMS that attach to the end of the stem, because internal TPMS all come with metal valve stems.

But adding weight to the outside end of a rubber valve stem is not good for the stem; as the tire rotates, the stem wobbles from the extra weight of the TPMS— especially if the tire is out-of-balance. Since it's an inside tire, the stem extends out through the rim of the outer tire, where it might chafe if it wobbles.

So my advice is twofold:
1 - Replace the rubber valve stems with metal stems before you put the TPMS back on; and
2 - Then get the tires rebalanced with the TMPS sensors already in place.

Thanks for the input. I am going to the tire place as soon as they can get replacement tires. They don't have ours in stock. We did put a metal stem on the tire, but ended up not using it as the side walls were cracked. This when we put the spare on, which is also leaking. These tires are under warranty as they were all replaced last Aug. I will ask them to balance the tires with the TPM sensors on. As one thing leads to another, the glass guy came to replace our windshield and had a windshield for a sprinter as requested by progressive instead of one for an Airstream interstate. So now he has to order the correct windshield. So tell saga contiues. Luckily we are visiting our daughter and enjoying ourselves in beautiful Austin.

That makes no sense to me. The windshield in an Airstream Interstate is the original Sprinter windshield.

Protagonist it is the same except the glass man said thr interstate has all sorts of stuff in it like heater wires, the rear view mirror and some other sensors. By the way, we went to the tire place, they, they replaced one tire, put metal stemsin, rotated and balanced the wheels and by the time we got to my daughter's the same tire was down f r on from 60 to 50. So back we go tomorrow. I told them to check the rims. Don't know if they did.

Love Daryl's House.Wish he would tour with that format. Do other people's songs and bring along some people that have been on his show.
sorry to hear about your problems but sounds like a great trip.

It is a great format and the restaurant (Daryl's House) where he records those shows might seat 250 people or so. Very intimate setting - but taking that on the road in larger venues would be cool!

New toilet should be delivered today and in by tomorrow. I'll pick up roll pins tonight too and fix the hitch. It's all good 😀

Glad it is working out! That venue is new to us, but definitely within range for a short trip.

Thanks,

Peter

PS could you recommend a campground or two nearby? Thanks. Are you familiar with the Iron Horse? We go there every once in a while.

We stayed at the Sylvan Lake Beach Campground:

http://www.dutchesscountycampground.com

It was about 15-20 minutes from Daryl's House. We had a good site (Sugar 3) which was a seasonal site but open. Some of the other sites are a bit close together.

And you can explore more here:

http://dutchesstourism.com/listings/campgrounds/

Iron Horse where? Im familiar with one in Northampton, MA that's a great site for an intimate show (like The Nields) or the Calvin Theater there for larger crowds (like Martin Sexton).

Thanks.

Yes, in Hamp -- great shows and decent food. We have seen lots of good acts there through the years, as they travel between Boston and NYC. Dr. Ralph Stanley, Tuck and Patti, Rodney Crowell, Daisy Mayhem and Rani Arbo, Tom Rush . . . and the list goes on.

Never stayed in a campground nearby with the new trailer, but that is coming up hopefully this Fall.

Back in the 90's with the old AS -- Wind Gap and other NE bluegrass festivals -- a great way to combine travel and music.

Reminds me -- gotta get some new tunes on the OTRA Music Channel later today . . .

Feel free to post some . . .

Have a good weekend all.

Peter

No, 'fraid not. We are probably going to stay at local CG's for a month or two, and aim for New England in the Fall. Maybe FreshGrass after Labor Day? New grandchildren and health issues have slowed down the deployment of the new trailer.

PS -- Just noticed Dawes is in the Green River festival. See Post #23 in the OTRA music thread linked earlier. "From A Window Seat" -- great song!

So Dometic was kind to send a free replacement 310 even though I was a bit out of warranty. They tell me the pedal is now manufactured differently than my original model and I should have no problems. Got it in the mail today and just installed tonight. All in, no leaks. Couldn't be happier.

I picked up a 10-pack of the roll pins I need for the hitch at lunch as well as a 10-pack of a size down (for hammering out the broken part of the pin) and will replace that tomorrow.

We'll be on the road again in no time. Things are looking up! 😀

Good of Dometic to do that, and great you will be on the road again soon!

Feel free to post a favorite OTRA song on the music thread.

Re: Dometic - I agree. That was great customer service on their part.

Re: OTRA thread - just popped a few in for you. Some don't really fit the theme but they're our favorite OTRAs 😀
