LA Basin Campgrounds

Those who read my thread Billings her I come! know I am on the move but before I get to Billings I need to go to Burbank, CA for two weeks of training.

I have done a google search and it has turned up little. I found a KOA that is 45 miles from the airport. That would be a looong drive. Normally I would stay at the hotel they are putting us up in but I have a small problem. My kitty cat. I would have to find a place to park the trailer for those two weeks as well.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not Much

We live in that area and there isn't much that is closer that I know of. When we want to take a quick trip, we end up at the beach in Malibu, we've done Gorman, and there is a park in San Dimas at Puddingstone dam. All of those are about 40 plus miles from Burbank airport. Sorry. Ron

Michelle,

There used to be a trailer park on the SE corner of the Burbank airport, but it's 5 years gone. I Googled three using "sun valley ca rv park" just to the northwest about 7 miles.

Valley Village Mobile Home Park - maps.google.com
8250 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood - (818) 504-0309

If you have the ability to use the hotel, why don't you try a storage lot?
I know there's one on I-5 one exit north of Hollywood Way (the airport is
on Hollywood way). You could leave the AS there, with cat(s) [hey, it's
winter and the temperature is moderate] and visit every evening.

I think there's more storage lots than RV parks, unfortunately.

Try Castaic Lake RV park
Azusa Moble home park
Arcada Mad River RV park

These are all closer to Pasadena

The three close ones are:

Birmingham RV Park in Van Nuys.

Walnut RV Park in North Hills.

Both of the above are in the San Fernando Valley like Burbank but are in congested areas.

Castaic RV in Castaic. More open and lower urban issues. About 20-25 mi. from Burbank. Pretty simple commute down I 5. We are approx 5-7 miles South of there in Valencia and would be more than happy to help in any way we can.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.
