campgrounds

I am wondering if their is a book for the airstream campgrounds or if everyone just uses Good Sams, or the TT campground books to find parks?
WE are new members and sure have a lot to understand about this. Going to Perry this summer but until then???

I tried to do an exact phrase search in Forums and that didn't work -- I came up with way too many returns! Check out the links on Airstream Vintage Travel Trailer Link Library! (lower right corner of webpage) and Penn Wood Airstream Park - Links. Airstream campgrounds are not a broadly distributed network as you can see.

There isn't a POI file somewhere is there? Be great to load up the GPS with all known Airstream parks. Maybe we could start one.

Well, there are two kinds: Airstream parks and WBCCI-discount parks. The Airstream parks are fairly rare, but around; the discount parks are simply ones that give discounts to WBCCI members.

WBCCI.org

(I don't have a link to the Airstream parks.)

In addition, members of WBCCI offer free overnight parking to other members.

Try Google as well

Bill and Nancy, You might also wish to utilize GOOGLE. Georgia has an Airstream park as well so GOOGLE Top of Georgia Airstream Park and you'll find good information you may find interesting. Good luck.
HAPPY TRIALS

Your national directory from WBCCI has both the Airstream parks listed as well as those who are reported to give discounts if you show your WBCCI membership card. Tedra Smith used to publish a little book that listed all the Airstream Parks (I have one from 13 years ago) but I have not seen any recently. I can personally recommend the parks at Crossville, Top of Georgia, and Clear Lake Minnesota. Travelers Rest is also nice and still has a lot of Airstreams although it no longer an Airstream only park.

thanks everyone, I guess I don't have my book yet. We have done pretty well with the park books we have I just thought there might be a lot of AS parks but I guess not.
Now that we are smaller we want to go into some of the state parks.

Michigan has been on our list for several years but we seem to end up along the East coast instead. This summer it will be North and South Carolina since our house in Florida is for sale and we want to be close if we need to get there and pack.
Any one have a must see or a rally there.

I recommend: Charleston, Savanah, Mrytle beach, Jekel Island, Top of Georgia, and all the other standard tourist places. There is plently to see along all the coasts and "mountains" as well. Lots of state parks and campgrounds along the way.

Florida A/S Parks

There is actually several in Florida - although many are now open to SOB's:

Paradise Park - Punta Gorda - started as A/S only, open to all - owned site, but rentals available. Paradise Park Condominium Association Welcomes You To PPCA.US!

Land Yacht Harbour - Melbourne - 304 sites, 50 (in the back) for SOB's. Long-term park, but short term rentals available landyachtharbormelbourne.index

Mystic Springs - Pensacola Area - A/S Only - HQ of the Pensaola Florida Chapter of WBCCI - index

Christmas A/S Park - Christmas, FL - has Airsteam in the name, but open to all brands - CHRISTMAS AIRSTREAM RV PARK- CHRISTMAS ALL YEAR 'ROUND. ALL RV'S WELCOME, AIRSTREAM DISCOUNTS, CHRISTMAS, FLORIDA BETWEEN ORLANDO AND THE SPACE COAST

Traveler's Rest - Dade City (Tampa) - was A/S only, I understand it's now open to all brands - Travelers Rest Resort - Dade City, Florida

So there's a few right there in Florida you can check out between now and Rally time! Enjoy!
