Jackson Center 9/20 & 9/21

Anyone else planning to be there? We're dropping off our AS for a long list of warranty repairs. Would love to put some names and faces together.

If your list is long enough, you may be there about 5 weeks later when we arrive.

List contains 22 items.
Some are going to be quick fixes. One in particular is pretty extensive.
I'm dropping the AS and will come back when they're done with it. It would be nice to hang around but that ain't happening.

Have appt 9/21 to get window awnings installed and some warranty work done so I will definitely be there. In fact I'll likely arrive this Fri and maybe Thu.

I have around 20 items so far for this trip. We had about that many last spring, and more before that the dealer had to take care of. The trailer was in the shop about 1 1/2 days.

So, in almost two years, 55 or more items to fix. Our Toyota Tundra in the same amount of time: 1.

I expect we'll arrive Sunday, Oct. 25, and I hope you will not still be there, waiting…. When will you come back for yours?

If you're going to drop it off, your experience will be different than if you stay. Otherwise, you'd have to bring your list to the front desk at 7 am as I recall. They'll pick up the trailer with a tractor. Then you have to wait for someone from the shop to come out and take you in the back and go over the list. The wait can be long. Also, the Terraport sewer connections are around 20' away from our sewer drain as I recall. I had only a 14' hose at the time; now have more than 30'. We met two others there from Colorado when we were there, not a vote of confidence in the dealers here.

I hope everything gets fixed to your satisfaction. The shop treated us well and did everything we asked and more.

Mine is there now. Saw another 30Slide/Texas plates getting some extensive work done. Also saw the 'Airstream Life' trailer getting work. Every bay was taken... very busy.

When I made the appointment, the Service Advisor, Chris Burch asked if I could give him a list of the problems ahead of time so he could do some planning on what they'd need to do. Yesterday, I sent him an Excel spread sheet detailing the problems, with comments along with photos of those items I could get pictures of. Maybe this will expedite the issue.
After we're through with Service, we'll be driving back to VA and then a second roundtrip to pick it up when it's all done.

Al - K4GLU - We'll look for you when we roll in on Sunday. Leaving Intercourse PA as early as we can get away. Google Maps says it's 8.25 hours to get there but that's not figuring towing a trailer. I'd guess we'll be there somewhere around 6pm.
We'll look like this picture.

OK. BTW I've been fulltiming for 3 years now but I was born in The Old Dominion - Alexandria - and spent my first 65 years living there - In Northern VA/Fairfax Co until late 1994 when I moved to the Eastern Shore/Chincoteague Island where I lived for 12 years. See you on Sun.

Spent a good bit of time with the two technicians (Bill & Chuck) going over the list of items. They were very attentive and concerned about doing the repairs right. The fact that we left the trailer there and will pick it up when everything is done was definately a positive for them.

Met a number of really nice folks at the TerraPort. By the way, if you haven't camped at the TerraPort, it has full hookups & Wireless for free if you're having your AS serviced there.

I'll update this when we've picked up Arvin.

Gene,
May be a good time to check with Bob W. on how that video is progressing.

Hope every-one's concerns are addressed satisfactorily.

It is a little depressing that they can get it right the second time around.
