Actually the photo was taken from the upper terrace of the campground. On the upper level is the manager's site, bath house and handicapped sites. The remainder of the sites are down along the river. Our site was about 50 ft. off the riverbank. This photo was done in August. The water temperature is a constant 38 degrees as it comes out of the bottom of the dam. A breeze makes it feel like the out of doors is air conditioned. Lots of rainbow trout are caught out of the river. The lake is very beautiful as well. Photo below. A wonderful camping area that we love to visit.

Cape Blanco Campground, Oregon Coast
Cape Blanco is many times windy, but nice wind brakes with plants. It is one of the few Oregon Coast campgrounds that is first come first served. Delightful lighthouse a short walk, interesting historical homestead with great tours, and of course, walking distance to the ocean!
