Thought I would post some shots of our 1978 travelux princess
We brought it back to Pefferlaw from Esponlia west of Sudbury Ontario. The interior is in great shape. We plan on changing the flooring. The actual plywood floor is in great shape as are the frame rails......... untill the front of the trailer on the way home we found out that the front A frame was soft on the outer rails. I will be pulling the underbelly soon to find out how the frame was constructed. Then figure out how to rebuild it. I will post more shots as we restore the frame.
here are some of the frame rust. The center 2x5 frame is solid. The outer's are rotten. Funny because under the trailer is solid all the way back. Should be a fun fix. At least the skin is not dented We can fix a frame.
We used to live in Aurora, and so I know the area you live in, it's great. And that Travelux has a super looking skin, too! I'm sure you will have fun making the frame stable, and keep us abreast of your work with lots of photos, ok?
Welcome to the Forums. I think you might be the same Mario that was interested in the 1966 Overlander I had for sale. You did much better in my opinion!!!
Yes I was interested in your 66 overlander, I really wanted the rear bunks setup. I am glad that you think I did better with this one given the frame rot. Do you still have the 66 trailer for sale ?
The 66 was bought by an older lady moving to Moracco.
I think you did real well. The attention to quality that went into making your trailer will astound you.
