Exterior teardrop running light replacement

Does anyone know what kind of gasket or sealant to use when replacing the teardrop exterior running lights? Also best method for removing the old lights?

Not sure about the gasket, but I just used Silkaflex 221 Gray on mine, which is sold on Airstream's online store.

There is a screw in the top of the light, that holds the cover on, then on the inside the screws that attach it to the body.

You can also use, Parbond Gray or Clear (small hand tubes) or
Loctite® PL® S40 Polyurethane Window Door and Siding Sealant as some others have reported doing.

You can make your own gasket by purchasing some sheet stock from a hardware store and cutting it to fit your fixture. I'd recommend the gasket rather than sealant to make it easier to remove in the future to replace the light bulb.
