Trailer width

Is there a difference in trailer width depending on model and year? People say our 2007 FB SE has a wider hallway than their Sovereign. I have read of "wide body" trailers but is there really such a thing?

Yep,
In the mid 90's, the nominal width went from 8' to 8'6"

Airstream currently makes their travel trailers in two widths. 23 ft and shorter are 8 ft-0" wide while the 25 ft and longer are 8 ft-5 1/2 inches wide.
These are sometimes referred to as the wide body. Yes, trailers are wider now than in the past. See the specs for the current offerings at the Airstream website.

Thanks all. This does clear up a point of contention with another AS owner.
