Does anybody know how to reglue vinyl walls? My vinyl over wood walls between the bath and bedroom is peeling. It was sitting for 17yrs when I bought it and everthing else was in good condition except for that and peeling under the upper cabinets.
The AS is a 1976 rear bath overlander. Any thoughts,I hate to have remove it!
tinman. if you're speaking of the vinyl wallpaper on the wood tub/shower wall, I don't know of any way to reglue it but maybe someone else will.
In a '60 Overlander with that peeling I formerly owned, I removed it, stained the wall and applied several coats of marine grade Varathane. It turned out very nice.
We also have a 1976 but it is a Tradewind.. the vinyl covering is coming off at the head of one of the twin beds.. wrinkling and lifted... any thought.. ??? had thought about lifting up and reglueing it? Annie

I have not done what I am about to suggest to an Airstream wall, but it would have been in my early thoughts if I was in your situation:
How about a clothes iron on low to medium setting? Place a dish towel on the peeled area, and iron the towel with a circular motion. The dish towel will protect the vinyl from getting too much concentrated heat.
