    Hi Tom!

I'm fairly new to AS but I bought a 1969 Sovereign 31 footer last year. I have lots to do to this old war bird but 1 thing at a time. My question is about the AC unit. I have an old Armstrong Bay Breeze and when I picked this AS up from the PO, we went over the operation of the over all trailer. I noticed the Air worked but it labored to get going.
I want to put what ever it takes to get it working great again. Is your 67 and my 69 the same AC unit using the same parts you mentioned in an old post I saw?
    Thanks in advance Tom.

    Hi,
Do you know how to light a Dometic m16 fridge from my 1961 Bambi?
Thank you so much I'm stuck. Doug

Tom - Thanks so much for your message. That was not at all soppy. It was so very kind and great to get your message. We enjoyed so very much meeting you both at that rally. We hope that some day we can meet and camp again with you both. We hope to take a trip to the Gulf coast in your direction in the coming year or two. If we do make it your direction we will let you know and hopefully we can connect for a camp out with you all or at least to meet for dinner. Not sure if we told you ... but we ended up selling the 1967 Tradewind (we didn't feel we had the knowledge necessary to restore it to it's potential). We kept our next Airstream (1988 Excella) a couple of years and ended up selling it to the guy that opened Shooting Star Airstream Park in Escalante, Utah. We now have a 25 ft. 2007 International Ocean Breeze. Our plans are to keep this one forever. Again, it's great to hear from you all and thanks so much for the wonderful message.

    Tom,

Check this Airforums thread on Reese Tuning. It references your tuning directions.

Best Regards to you and the family.

    Tom,

Hey, I'm the one who's emailed you a couple of times lately about my '67 Overlander. You know... the Henschen who's of no affiliation of the axle Henschens? Thanks again for your help. We're taking her out this weekend camping for the first time and we're doing our best to get her ready. Sadly, I believe a PO has redone the plumbing and has done away with a fresh water input altogether. There's nothing I can find anywhere. Plus the water pump cycles every other second AND its on the same power switch as the new-ish air conditioner. So, we'll see how it goes. I'm sure we'll discover a lot of things that need tweaking this first time out. Anyway, I'm glad I found you on here. I was writing some people on here and they all seemed to recommend that I talk to you and visit your site. I have to say, I'm amazed at the friendliness and goodwill I've found in these forums. It's pretty amazing actually. Thanks again! - John

    Tom,

It's great to hear from you. We ended up having 3 people interested in purchasing the 67 Tradewind and we sold it. We purchased Elaine Jackson's 1988 32 ft. Excella and enjoying it so much. In fact we are currently in Palo Duro Canyon (so amazing and beautiful). We leave here tomorrow and head to New Mexico (Santa Fe/Los Alamos/Albuquerque/Elephant Butte State Park) and then back home to Austin.

Are you all coming this year's Vintage Rally? It would be great to see you all again ... hopefully you are coming!

    Stay in touch.

    - Michael and Frank
