Seat cushion foam upgrade ?

Have a 2016 28w FC . After a few months of use by a couple , on the smallest side, we are looking to upgrade the foam in the seat cushions.

Seats seem soft and the material has gotten the wrinkle look

We are looking at replacing the foam with 50# and wrap the entire foam reusing the same outside material.
Any one done this?? What was the results ? Worth it ?
Thanks

Absolutely worth it! This was one of the first modifications we did to your 2014 Eddie Bauer when we got it. We hated the soft mushy cushions that Airstream uses. We worked with a local furniture refinishing place to get the foam. It was expensive but now we are comfortable! I got extra firm on "my side" and my wife got the medium firm. Now she wishes she had chosen the extra firm.

I redid mine also, using an upholstery shop in Lake Havasu. I learned that there were two classes of foam density, with soft, med, and maybe two levels of firm in each. Upholstery foam which came stock and softer, meant to be used over a spring base like a couch. And boat foam meant to be used over a firm surface like wood/fiberglass as used in boat construction. This foam has a firmer level of support, so you don't sit right through it. There are different materials that foams are made from. Different manufacturers with different levels of soft, med, & firm. There is the issue of break-in too, they all will get a level softer over use.
Happy shopping, , ,

Dinette seat cushion on the door side of our ‘14 FC seems to lean forward towards the table which is fine for dining but not comfortable for watching TV. Looking for suggestions to either replace foam with something sturdier or just add a little lift/wedge so the cushion doesn’t lean in/down
