Solar Installers

Anybody have experience with Discount Solar in Quartzsite installing panels, batteries, system?

We're located in New Mexico and looking to have 600+ watts installed with Lithium batteries...
TIA

I had mine installed at Airstream Dealership. They are knowledgeable on Airstream and better for them to do it right rather than at anywhere else. Make sure that a dealer in NM has good reputation in servicing and installing before dropping off your AS.

Too bad I'm in FL, as I would offer my services in a heartbeat! Be very careful about the solar installer that you choose. Be sure to get referrals and a list of the equipment that the plan to use.

Good luck!

Glad to see you posting, Lew!

When Lewster did our solar install, Page and I took a cruise out of Orlando while he slaved away. The cruise to Cozumel was cheaper than hanging around Naples. Not a low-rent district.

When we returned we had a first class solar rig that we intend to enjoy for many more years.

Pat

My first solar was by Airstream.

The next two better and less expensive ones were by Uwe at Area 63 Productions in So. Cal. right off the 10 Fwy.

I camp out of a 4X4 van and sometimes tow a 1960 22 foot Airstream.

Uwe at Area 63 productions put panels on the van along with a 100 hour Lithium battery which power the vans Domestic fridge on float.

There is a charging cord from the van to the Airstream which charges the trailers 100 hour Lithium battery.

Four panels on the vans flat roof power van and trailer.

If you don’t purchase the solar option from airstream what kind of money is someone looking at to install a legit solar system on the top of an airstream?

Just how much solar are you talking about? And will you include a larger inverter/charger and new batteries into the mix? Typically, we add a minimum of 4 X 90 watt solar panels with more if you have the space, a Victron 12/3000/120 2400 watt inverter/charger, all switching and wiring and whatever Victron solar controller needed to match your panels' capacities.

Pricing starts at around $9000 (labor included) but this number jumps dramatically when lithium batteries are installed and additional panels are required.

What kind of 100 AMP lithium batteries does Uwe install?

Great idea to take a cruise while waiting! Naples is expensive as heck. But isn't Orlando landlocked?
