What are these 4awg and 6awg wires in Caravel 16?

Hello all,

After reading schematics in owners manual, and in back side of the 12v panel cover, I am still confused about what the 4awg and 6awg wires lead to in my 16' Caravel.

Here are the 4awg wires
From A frame battery Box, 4awg wires (red/black) connect directly to battery terminals, then go under the belly on the *passenger side*. Until yesterday I thought these 4awg wires go to converter and inverter, both are under the bed and on passenger side, it made sense.

Well until I opened 12v panel and checked out the wiring from there.

There are 2 groups (red, black), (red white) of 6awg wires connect to 12v panel. The first group (red, black) is easy to identify - they go through floor and connect to battery terminal. But the second group (red, white) is where I am really confused - they also go through floor, but then they run under the belly on the *driver side*. What are they - I just can't think of any load in my Caravel needs 6awg wires. The manual seems indicate they go to converter, but if so why would they go on driver side and what are those 4awg wires then??

Thanks in advance!

Ok so here you go....

4AWG wires-Red and Black. These are your inverter power DC power feeds. There should be a 100A terminal lug fuse on the battery POSTIVE that the Red wires is connected to.
6AWG wires -Red and Black. These are your battery cables connecting the batteries in the battery box to the 12V DC distribution panel. The black goes to the common negative bus bar and the Red connects to the far most left short stop fuse which is 50A rated.
6AWG wires Red-White. These are your connections from the charger/converter to the DC distribution box. White connect to the common negative bus bar and the Red connects to the second from left short stop fuse and I’d also rated for 50A. These wires also feed the DC fuse panel located in your main breaker panel.

Thank you @GMFL, so basically the 6awg red/white wires runs on driver side, goes across from driver side to passenger side (converter and inverter are both there) somewhere near the rear bed then.

Dumb question - why not just use the 4awg wire for both inverter and converter from battery? then move the 50A breaker/fuse next to converter, to eliminate the need for the 6awg (red/white) pair?

Thank again!

The inverter need to be fed straight from the batteries without any other potential loads.
Example
Lights are on and running fine..... turn inverter on and light flicker due to the inverters demand on the inverter.

There is also the use/store switch in there somewhere. It's location has changed a few times over the years. Sometimes on the same model in the same year.

Yes, it's right next to the light switch at the door. it's a relay based switch.
