Univolt system

We have a 66 Caravel and my question to you is that if you run your battery down, is there a point to where it affects the two circuit transformer in a fashion that will not allow the "city power" mode not to work?

I -think- I understand you, and my guess is no. When we bought our '74 Sov, it had NO battery, and we ran the usual things (furnace, lights, water pump, WH etc) just fine for over a year.

We then replaced the Univolt, and the results were the same (minus the Univolt hum) for another year with no battery.

What do you mean by "the two circuit transformer", by the way?

Two circuit transformer

I am refering to the box that has two togel switches that go from city power to trailer battery power.

Hey Stefandmissy the answer is no but the univolt in ours no longer worked anyway so as we go along we are replacing it. Check the input circuit breaker comming into the caravel (ours was in the curbside closet) and the shore power breaker to insure that you have power. The shore power battery power switch determines weather you 12 volt power is comming from the transformer or the battery. I am assuming that the univolt is plugged in and the fuse is good. The AC is feed into the breaker box from the shore power outlet and distributed to the trailer through breakers that are in that box in the closet. Hope that this helps.
