Seeking redesigned Airstreams

Hi everyone,

I'm an odd man out on this website - I'm not an Airstream owner. I'm an editor at an interior design magazine (New York Spaces) and I'm trying desperately to find a redesigned/redecorated Airstream for an article. Catch is, the owner has to live in New Jersey, New York or Connecticut. We're looking for really far-out designs, not a restoration (no offense, we're just looking for something different).

If you're out there, please respond! We want to show our readers a very unique RV, and tell them a good story. Thanks!

Hi,

I am clueless where he lives... but JCFerguson who is a member on this site has a very interesting interior. Entirely custom. Part of it is living space, part of it work space (artist...) I know he has pics posted, but not sure at the moment where his thread is... you might search and see what you find. Interior is all wood and decidedly understated, but elegant. Excellent craftsman. You could probably send him a personal message and ask him about it.

Otherwise you might just check different threads to see what anyone has done... many folks customize their interiors ...

Hi Jenna! We welcome all drooling publicity about Airstreams.

But this reminds me of my longstanding request to be able to search the membership by geographic location.

Andy? Any mods listening?

You can find members by state. In "advanced search" under member list.

You can search threads by member name. In the main search under "advanced search"

You can also find members by location by going to the "Portal" menu at the upper left end of the main menu. Inside there click on the "Member Search" in the list on the left side. You can type in as little as the state name if you want.

There is also a "View Members Map" selection at the top of the same list.

I hope this thread gets back to the subject and you will get more replies. I know there are many Airstreams out there which would fit your needs. I thought of this renovation project which is going on and not sure how far along they are now: http://www.gmccoop.com/new_project.htm You can also check out Fred's list for an array of Airstreams of all types and styles.
