Proud New Owner

Hello Fellow A/Sers, I've been looking for an older a/s for about 4 years. Not to hard, just kicking tires. Keeping an eye on ebay, craigslist, the paper. Just waiting for the right trailer at the right price (like everyone). About 3 weeks ago the earth, moon and stars all lined up and and found it. It being a 1958 Traveler (Calif. Model). All original unmolested, striaght body, all appiances, and the windows work with screens! It isn't perfect, soft floors, cabinet bases are delaminating and I have to check all the appiances, new wheels and tires and check the brakes. All for $3500 right in my own backyard. Yes I was the first and last to look at it and I didn't hagle on the price. My wife made me promise not to touch in till I cleared up a few things. Today was the day but I had to work overtime! I cann't wait for tomorrow! Great forum just found it last week. I'll be doing alot of searching and question asking. It's going to be fun!!!! Greg

Welcome to the Forums

My better half and I are on our 2nd 1967 Tradewind, the first one having suffered under our harsh hands to be rescued by a fine Texan gentleman just before we turned it in to the beer can recycling center; the second performing elegantly as a weekend hide-out.

You will find in these forums more information than you can digest at one seating. The contributors are generally erudite and willing to share their hard-earned smarts. Be careful in your search words &/or phrases for particular information and you will find a wealth of information, advice and hands-on how-to (often times with pictorial aids).

Welcome & good luck
