Leave the trailer alone, you probably don't know what you are doing yet.
Go camping.
Go camping again.
Now fix something.
Go camping.
Now start thinking about what is really important for you to make better or nicer.
Do it.
Go camping.
Have fun!
In all seriousness, I'm hearing about too many people with great aspirations and good intentions rip apart a marginal trailer only to be left with a shell and damaged parts and no idea how to put them back together.
In order: Make it safe. Make it dry. Make it work. Make it nice.
