Smile New Airstreamer

Hello everyone,

This is my second week with my new to me 1970 Globetrotter.
We've been cleaning it up inside and out this first week, Looking pretty good now This is also my first ever trailer, no manuals or anything. I think I have a pretty good idea of how things are supposed to work, if not I'll holler back here for help

Congratulation on becoming an Airstream addict. You will be one, if you're not already. Let's see pictures of before and after. Those are so much fun. My before pictures are too big to put on the forum, but I not only learned how to re-do an old Argosy, I learned how to use a digital camera. Now I can bore everyone with my "after" pictures.

Ok,
Here are a few pictures I took today, they were taken with a very cheap camera The window to the right of the door is broken out, I have plastic over it for now. Also you can see some floor rot that will need replacing.

Welcome

Robert,

Welcome to the world of obsession. It is the kind of ride you can't get off, but this is a good thing. It looks like all your new AS needs is a little work and you will be Streaming. Have fun.

Welcome ,so you got the airstream itch. Nice trailer,I had a 1969 31' sovereign .
It was my baby! I remember when I was younger ,my dad saying to me that's an airstream trailer. It always stuck in my head,as I got older I always wanted one of those shinny trailers.
Well now I'm on my 2nd one. Just love those trailers.
Wish you the best on your project!!!!!!!

Hello again,

I've spent this past week trying to figgure out the systems, this is my first ever trailer.
I got all the plumbing to work after finding out to close some valves so the water doesn't come out the bottom. After reading alot here I found out how to fill the fresh water tank, but I couldn't get the water pump to pump anything out. I first took off the hose from the water pump going to the sediment filter and water started coming out. Next I took the hose loose on the output side, I heard pressure escaping and put it back together after it quit. I turned to pump back on and it started to work I put a little bleach in the tank to clean it up, ran all the faucetts, flushed the toilet etc.
Does anyone know how many gallons the fresh water tank holds?

Hello Bob, looks like a nice place to start. Keep your eyes open and you may see me pass through your town soon. I was just up there last month. Can't miss me!
Good luck with your project.

Cool

I live almost beside the Table Rock state park, I can walk down to it from my house. About seven miles from the Palmetto Grove Airstream park.
I've had my AS for about 3 weeks now and I've allready had two people stopping by asking if I want to sell it.
