Well the wife and I just picked up a 28 ft Argosy . It has not been used in 22 years . I have to rebuild the front 8 ft of frame plus the tounge. It had became a store room at a travel park . I picked it up cheap . The body and all of the glass is in great spape, plus it does not seam to leak . After we got it clened out we found everything till inside ( frige,stove,tub,ect.......) Won't know for some time if I can get anything working . We plan on doing a complete remolding . What was the outside color when new Or should I try to remove all the Old paint ? Oh yea It stll has the origanal hub caps .
Sounds great can you post some pictures. Use the search bar at the top. Type in argosy. I think you'll find out more than you want to about aluminum trailers.

What color it was, depends on what year it is. Very early Argosies were two tone antique white and a kind of pinkish tan. The newer ones were more of a cream color, and some had multi-colored "racing stripes" down the sides, in different brilliant colors. Depending on what year it is, some of us may be able to provide you with the Imron paint color codes.

Hi Mike: Have a 78, 24ft Argosy. You have made a great choice. These Argosys are well built, fun trailers. I bet your's is the same color as mine. I have repainted mine a little at a time in a unique way. Probably most on the forum would think self painting wouldn't work, but the "Twink" looks pretty good. I'm posting pictures of the "after" painting look. If you want more info on what we did, just email me and I'll send you more pictures than you probably want. We love to show off our work here on the forum. We have completely redone the inside and it was the most fun we've had for a while.
