Howdy From East Texas

Just wanted to say hello from the piney woods of the Lone Star State! Looking forward to visiting with ya'll.

We just bought a litte 1973 Argosy 20 that is in exceptionally good shape for it's age. We actually found it close by from an advertisement in the Thrifty Nickel. This is our first travel trailer and obviously our first Airstream model. I've always wanted one of these since I was a kid so I am very excited about our purchase. I'll be posting pics of the clean-up later.

Regarding us, we own a gourmet peanut butter business and specialty restaurant called The Peanut Butter Emporium in Overton, Texas. It was a dream of my wife's since she was a little girl and we been in business about 5 years now. If you are ever in East Texas be sure and look us up. Our city has a nice little RV park that ajoins our city park, lake and 9 hole golf course and I hear the rates are very reasonable. They also host a great bluegrass music festival every year the draws a nice little crowd.

The reason we bought our new little Argosy is that we are also opening a new spin-off of your business called Nutty's down in Galveston, Texas. It's going to be located in the world famous Peanut Butter Warehouse for those of you who know about that destination. We thought it would be fun to stay in an RV park rather than a hotel (and cheaper also) since the room cost would pay for the trailer. Hopefully, we won't kill each other during the 8 weeks we'll be there opening the new location;-) Anyway......

I know there's alot of very valuable info here and I'm looking forward to learning from everyone. Hopefully, in the future I can contribute as well.

Have a great day!!!

Welcome and congrats on your Argosy! I enjoyed reading your post very much, and now I'm thinking that peanut butter is on my menu for lunch (wonder how that happened?) Good luck with your new toy and all your upcoming projects!

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on your new baby.

When we next get to East Texas, we will be sure to come to Overton for some peanut butter delacasies. Best of luck with your new business venture.

SuEllyn and I just spent six weeks in our 25' Safari, and did just fine.
