Flying on a Cloud

Hi Everybody, I just joined the forum today. Due to my lurking for the last year my wife and I are the proud owners of a new AS. We are presently taking our time (about a month or two) to get from our delivery location in Denver back to Florida.

I want to thank the many of you for the invaluable information in this forum because without the research I may have let the opportunity pass.

What a wonderful life we are blessed with!!!!

Tom

A month (or two) open-ended shakedown cruise sounds like a great way to start Airstreaming. Welcome!

Tom, Good luck and enjoy your new purchase. Sounds like a nice break in trip back home. We camped at Fort Myers beach with our AS in April. Had a great time. Probably be back again next April.

Safe travels,
Bill

I am jealous. Wish I could stay gone a month or two!

As you'll find out, the A/S brings enormous flexibility to the travel experience. For me, I've found that the best part is pulling into a campground (or boondocks spot), at around 3:30 in the afternoon....having a nice walk with Rhoda the Airstream Basset Hound, a leisurely meal, a pleasant evening and a leisurely departure the next morning (if it's an overnight). The old days of "how many miles can I get in today," are completely and totally in my rearview mirror. Hope to see you on the road!
