Coming back with a new Airstream

I was a member here back in 2004 or so, when I had a ‘69 Caravel, in near perfect original condition. I sold her a few years later and got a camper van (custom job from Sportsmobile) which was perfect since I was traveling solo. 10 years passed, rv-less, until I got both a new travel partner and a new (old) Airstream, this time a ‘73 Argosy 24’. She needs much work and love but together Lynn and I will bring her thru. We are the Travel Kats and we’ll be posting about renovations as we go. Glad to be back!
(I will be posting interior fixtures and parts for sale soon in classifieds, since we will be stripping it down to the skin. Anyone who is restoring one of these might get in touch - sinks, stove, overhead bins, partitions, front gaucho cushions and more. all in pretty good condition.)

Welcome back and congrats on the changes. Let us know if you want to reclaim, or merge your old account.

Hello from Colorado: I've met a couple of Argosy renovators here recently. You might consider starting a "project thread" in the Knowledgebase and in the Argosy section where other folks can follow along and give a cheer now and then when you reach a milestone.

You were on AirForums way before I was.

Thanks Kevin! I have no records from back then, so no way to find the old member ID. I just assumed I’d be scrubbed. I appreciate it tho.

Thanks as well, Hans!

David, We’ve got a blog begun on Blogspot, but could also put excerpts here too. Thanks for the suggestion! planetargosy.blogspot.com
And, I was mostly a lurker back then. I lucked into a nearly perfect Caravel and never had to do much to her. I think I’ll be more active now.
