At last got one

Hi everyone, at last after 2 years of searching I have finally purchased a trailer, 23' 1969 Safari and now I intend to spend a few months getting her ready, as I intend to do some serious milage I would first of all like to change the Axel, brakes and tires and i want to fit the best so is there anyone out there that can advise me also does anyone know a good dealer in Miami. As I progress I will be asking for more and more help so thanks to everyone.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new Safari. Your life has just changed for the better.

New axles and brakes are on my list of improvements for my 66 Tradewind also. I recommend calling Colin Hyde @ 518-578-7772. You might spend a few hours getting yourself educated by reading some axle threads on the forum. Good luck and happy traveling in your Safari!

Nearest Airstream dealer that I would go to is JD Saunders in Alachua. There is another dealer in Dover, Fl but he is better known for sales than service.

Axle replacement is pretty straight forward. Do a search on axles and see what turns up.

Inland RV is a good source, call with your VIN and they should be able to give you a quote. Spend a few extra bucks for the self adjusting brakes...
