Greetings Fellow Airstreamers!
We are fairly new to the vintage airstream lifestyle. We bought our '63 Safari last June, gutted her to the floor in July, then put her back as good as new in birch, sticking to the original floorplan. (We'll try to post pictures later)
We have been to a few local rallies, and look forward to meeting some of you soon.
Welcome to the forums - we're glad you're here! I think we may have met last summer - possibly on Hartstene Island (we have a '65 Suburban). Was that you?
Oh that's cool! Your '78 Ford is a beaut, too - hope you find it a great new home. We've been working on our Burb over the winter, so it will be ready to go for this camping season. Looking forward to seeing you down the road again soon - it would be fun for our '65s to meet (maybe at the Mt. Baker TCT rally?)
We plan to go to the Mt. Baker, as well as a vintage rally in July in BC.
Hope we see you then.
We've only had our subr for about 2 months, working on getting all of the safety issues taken care of 1st, then will work on the fun stuff.
We did get our Safari polished last month, so now we have to keep it shiny.
Catch you later.
Pictures would be a very good thing. We love pictures and in my case at least when there's a vintage TV involved it just makes it all that much more fun. We use an old stationwagon to haul our Flying Cloud about.
We are also thinking of attending the July Vintage campout in White Rock, and we have the TCT at the top of the list. It's a great, laid back time.
Hope to see you on the roads and in the campgrounds.
