I just installed faux soft teak over my laminate flooring in my 72 Safari airstream. Here are some pics & boy does it feel good on the feet.

Thanks, yeah I hope it can withstand the abuse of a 2 year old and a 4 year old., but only time will tell. I’ll update this post in about 3 months and let everyone know how the floor is holding up. It was a pretty easy install. Cut, Remove backing and stick down. I also cut aluminum L channel for the edges to help hold the floor down and to give it that extra nautical feel.

OK, what brand of flooring is that, and where did you get it? I want to look into that too.

Faux Teak EVA Foam Boat Decking Sheet

Hi Scott it's called (Faux Teak EVA Foam Boat Decking) it comes in a roll 35" x94", I only needed three rolls for my 23 ft airstream. I found mine on ebay and its about $42 a roll. Here's a link to the stuff.

Looks great. If it holds up as good as my daughter's boat, you won't have a problem.

Looks Great.
After a job as a boat detailer, be glad you don't have to bleach and oil the decks! But, I do love teak.

Man, that looks great. I’ve spent the last day or so reading all I could about this material and found all good things. I have a ‘13 bunkhouse and the vinyl is getting ratty and stained. So really interested on how it works out. I know it’s a little early for you to tell. We have big temperature swings here in Texas and wonder how well the glue stays bonded to the vinyl. I have no doubt about durability. If it can take constant salt water, day after day of UV, sand, etc. on a boat deck it should be fine for the inside of the rv. I’ve walked on same thing on a boat and was pleasant to the feet.
