Anyone tried EZ Faux Stainless for cabinets?

OK ya'll, $20.00 bucks a square foot of peel and stick real stainless is a lot of money for cabinets.

I got samples of stainless peel and stick EZ Faux today. Anyone tried this and can tell me what it looks like after a year or so?

Does it delaminate and look yucky or does it hold up pretty good?

RD, is that from experience with this product or a general Rule of the Road?

I agree in theory, but have been pleasantly surprised in the past at exceptions to the rule.

I installed this very recently. I used it in two places, one which I recommend, the other I do not. The one that worked was the intended purpose of covering the original refrigerator. The one I tore out was used on MDF plywood.

It is nearly impossible to get a clean, flat application to wood with this laminate. I got it looking good after I spent some quality time with it but the next day I came back and it had bubbled up in several places. You really need a smooth flat surface to adhere to otherwise it's a waste of time.

However, if you find some method of affixing this to wood I would love to hear about it! Good luck!
