2003 International CCD 22’

I’m looking at buying a friends 2003 Intl CCD 22’ trailer. Back in 2012 he had the following done: (Per repair invoice). Repair cracks in main right side chassis frame- straighten and support frame outriggers @right side. Grind, weld and plate cracks in frame- notch outriggers for bracing- fabricate and weld additional steel frame material to support main frame, front to back. Add gussets/ plating to outriggers to straighten and reinforce- drill and bolt cross frame braces- paint frame as needed. To those of you familiar with this frame problem with this model, an opinion of the work done would be appreciated. He also had a new floor installed at that time that was damaged. Total repairs were approximately $12K…I will be having it inspected before purchasing, but, again, just looking for some input/ opinions/ recommendations from this very knowledgeable community…Thanks in advance…

I had a 2005 for one year which I sold before I knew about the frame problems.

That little trailer had the best wet bath I've ever seen (takes less space than a.split bath and has more room). Sink in shower makes quick water conserving GI showers easy. I miss the counter space too... the tiny under-counter fridge, not.so much.

The repairs sound pretty good. A new more robust frame and a Coosa board floor might be better, but realistically? If the potential for leaks around the rear bumper have been addressed, this one is probably fine.

Slide under there and look at the bottom side. 2003s didn't originally have insulation or a belly pan. Happy trails.
