In real estate it's location, location, location. In RVs it's condition, condition, condition. Several years ago, Spencer's Airstream in Portland (now gone!) had a '95 25' Airstream motorhome advertised at $42,000. I looked. It had rear roof damage, needed servicing all around, but was quite nice. They would not budge on the price. There were so few 25' motorhomes made that they demand (and get) just about whatever the asking price is. I'd be careful to inspect everything to be sure there are no major mechanical, cosmetic, appliance, or operating system problems before buying. Also, remember that not everyone has $28K to shell out and if you should decide to sell, financing for the new buyer may be a problem on a motorhome that old. On the other hand, since there are so few of that size out there, and if you want one, you don't have much choice other than an older Argosy.
