First saw “living on the road” by late 1970s when it appeared. Interstate makes it possible. Without such, many of these vehicles would become prohibitive in expense (all-inclusive) to travel very far. The other pieces (such as rural electrification) were already in place.

Urban sprawl (city mega regions) makes for the setting of “Lagrange points” to ratchet expense down via favorable location.
