SeeLevel Sensors Install?

I am replacing the original tank sensors in our 2003 30' Land Yacht with the SeeLevel sensor system. The fresh water tank is easy - under the bed and I can see the old sensors. However, the black and gray tanks under the chassis seem to be enclosed in a riveted aluminum box with no sign of the sensor wires coming out.

Has anyone replaced these sensors? If so, how did you find them?

I was thinking about trying those, let me know how they work, also what about the installation. I have seen a few different packages, which one did you go with.

They work GREAT. Best system out there. I swapped from the micro pulse system to SeeLevel. 1000% more accurate.

I too am looking at them for my 76 Argosy re-do. I had to take the black tank out due to some things from the PO and noticed that it came with in-tank sensors (that were wired from the factory but never hooked up, I don't have a control panel). Well this got me thinking since these tanks are tucked away in a spot that is not easily gotten to, is there a non-contact system out there that works well, that is when I came across the Sea Level. I have not gotten it yet nor am I at that spot yet to install it (will be soon) but would like to know (like you) what other people think of them. So far everything I have seen/read it's a pretty good system.

I used them on my 74 Overlander tanks, and they work great. You need the junior senders to fit the short tanks inside the frame.

Unfortunately I don't have any easy advice for accessing a tank aside from dropping it completely. Maybe you could cut a hole in the box for access and then rivet a patch when you're done?

Call the See Level people in Texas. They are very helpful and can tell you exactly which ones you need for your tanks, and will give tips on installing.

The SeeLevel system seems to work OK for the Fresh tank in our 2019 NEST, displaying reasonable % changes with usage. But the combined Grey/Black Tank — not so much.

Despite attempts to add water to the black tank in small doses (e.g. while washing dishes) I’ve never seen a black tank level reading between 13 and 44%. Above 50% it seems to display reasonable levels in smaller increments of a few %. Which makes me wonder if the measuring “tape” was correctly adhered to the lower part of the grey/black tank.

2 Questions…
Does the SeeLevel system display small percent changes (below 50%), in your grey and/or black tank?
How hard was it to get the measuring “tape” adhered to the tank?

Yes. Though I don't worry too much about it until it is full/empty. Of all the ranges for it to be malfunctioning, that sounds like a best case scenario.

Not hard. Position, then peel and stick.

I'll keep an eye on the levels. And if it never shows anything between 13 and 44% I'll see how hard it is to get to the black tank and check to see if the the bottom half of the strip is completely adhered. I'd just let it go, except the flaky readings below 50% make me wonder how accurate the readings are when the tank is closer to full.
