Air Flow

Since we came home with our new Sport a few weeks ago we decided to spend this past week end inside the AS to get a feel of how we will function in the coach once we are out on our first road trip.

I have one observation that I'd like to get feed back from other 16' Bambi Sport owners.

When sleeping in the bed I noticed how "small" the rear window that cranked open was. We had placed a small table fan on the dinette table in front of the open window to assist with airflow. I still felt a bit stiffled and that air seemed to not move in the bedroom area.

I do plan to upgrade the roof mounted fantastic fan to the unit that can draw in air along with a thermostat control (my Casita had one and it was great in keeping the inside comfortable on warm nights).

Maybe if I install a oscilating wall fan near the TV would help.

The roof mounted fan will solve the problem of reduced airflow through that tiny window.

Using a vent fan on exhaust will draw the air in through the bedroom window where you'll feel it most, especially if other windows are closed. Consider a rain cover for the Fantastic fan (or go with a Maxxair, my preference) so you can use it in the rain.

We also use an oscillating fan in addition to the two ff vents.

I purchased a small electric fan with a clip mount. I attached it to the arm on the TV and it really has helped in keeping the bedroom area cool.

This should get me through until I can afford to purchase a two way Fantastic fan w/ the themostat and change out the factory unit.

I did pick up a MaxAir II vent cover and will install it this week end.
