2022 Bambi Delivery

Forgot to post…we took possession of our Bambi 22 on Feb 19. It was awesome and and very exciting!!
Took her to a local State Park a few days later to try her out and that was even better!!! Heading to Asheville NC this weekend. I hope everyone has a wonderful experience when yours arrives!!

Got her last weekend! Working out hitches as everything is more complicated with the Tesla. But we slept in her for three nights this week and love it! Will be on the first trip this weekend down Hwy 1 south of San Francisco to Costanoa just north of Santa Cruz.

One addition: be sure to budget a bunch of money once you get for all the stuff you will want/need. About half are wants and half are needs! Think we are ~$2k more on 'stuff' and not getting into the luxuries. Talking chairs, plates, storage, electric converters, hoses, etc. No regrets at ALL though

We were told ours was coming off the factory line on March 17. I called last week and was surprised they said it had already finished – but it was still stuck in Ohio due to bad weather conditions. Hoping it ships soon and should hopefully take delivery around the end of the month.

In other prep for the AS, we got an EcoFlow Delta Pro battery. Costco had an online deal for a 3.6kWh monster that also has a dedicated 30A receptacle outlet.

My dealer just informed me the off the production line slipped from Apr. 14 to Apr. 28 (2 weeks)

on a side note:

Will the dealer install the trailer brake controller as part of purchasing tow package or I have pay extra for labor?

If I have to pay, I will install myself

I think it depends on the deal that you make. I picked up my Bambi recently and the brake controller was part of the full price that I paid. The install wasn't broken out. I'd have them install honestly as you are going to want it even driving home. And I bet that they are planning on installing for you. But would ask to make sure.

Well, I can't speak to whether or not a brake controller is included – I actually doubt they are, though they might install for free if you buy from them –*but in delivery news, we just paid for our Bambi last week and it'll be two weeks until we can pick her up. The estimate from time of order was pretty spot on, and the wait is nearly complete. Very excited to be receiving delivery very soon.

Picked up my Bambi on Thursday and drove it 8 hours home on Saturday. The trailer and experience has exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly smooth to drive with and very comfortable inside. It's our first RV so last week was definitely a learning experience but all good so far.

After 6 months from order, and two weeks after making arrangements for payment, we finally took delivery last Friday and immediately took our 16RB Bambi to a local county park for the night. Thanks for all the replies and congrats to everyone else taking delivery of their own units!
