FYI , no dogs allowed at the Parker River refuge , not even in the vehicle . Molly almost got us arrested when we were there . There was no one at the gate and we missed the sign. It is a worthwhile visit . My veterans plate saved the day , got talking " where were you stationed " stuff with the officer .

A side note: Reserve America's site says:
"Salisbury does not have water hook-ups or a dump station in the Off season (10/21/2010 - 11/27/2010)"

Hmmm, it didn't say anything about this when I booked my site. Oh well, boondocking it is!

We're ready
We're ready for boondocking. The generator needs some exercise anyway. In case of emergency we can provide power to other rigs. We'll bring our tent as well just in case you need it.

It looks like there is power - just no dump station or water at each campsite. From the Mass DEC website:
Salisbury Beach State Reservation, Salisbury, 978-462-4481- October 21 – November 27 2010 Thursday, Friday, Saturday night stays only open also the Wednesday before Thanksgiving
- Heated bathroom facility available off-season
- No dumping station available off-season
- Electric hookups included at each site; no water hookups available off-season
- Potable water is available at the headquarters

Thanks for the update! I had called a while back and the folks at the park said we would not have power. But I'll take it if it's available! We will bring our generator just in case.......

Yeah, I guess it's a question of who to trust: the website or the campground office.
Either way, we'll have a charged battery and full propane (although I'd love to be able to use the electric blankets)...

Remember to be prepared for dry camping. We will try to get a fairly early start on Saturday morning, the group will decide on the exact time tonight. Leon and I will be going for beach pizza (aka cardboard pizza) tonight if anyone wants to join us.

Thank you
Fantastic time! Thank you so much.
We were very happily surprised by the 'bird watching' rally. Plum island Audobon Sanctuary was gorgeous! Lots of laughs and a fun group.
Great job.
