2004 International at Lansing, MI

Here's one for everyone getting cabin fever to think about. Only five months from now the WBCCI International Rally will begin. The rally is being held in Lansing, MI this year. The rally will run from June 28th - July 4th, 2004.

Here is a link to the official web site for the rally.

The International rallies are always held over Independence Day. Let's face it, Independence Day is one of the hottest days of the year wherever you are.

There is a joke among longtime Intl. Rally attendees that the rally location residents say "It's not usually so hot here this time of year."

I HATE the heat, so I have reserved sites in Lansing Cottonwood Campground, which is actually a little closer to the activities than the official parking area is. The campground offers 30 amp electric and water hook up. There is an on-site dump station.

I have reserved 20 sites, and only 10 have been claimed. The campground is booked for the rally, but I thought I'd make the sites available to interested forum members on a first come, first served basis.

If you are interested in reserving a site with us, send me your coach length and your WBCCI member number. If you have questions, you can post them here or PM me.

Great idea!

I'd like to take advantage of that! What a great idea -- and pretty close to what the WBCCI is charging for an electric-only site.

Two forum members have already signed up for the campground. That leaves 8 sites still available.

I just received an email message from Daryl Ewles today. Some WBCCI 30 amp sites are still available, as well.

The advantage to their arrangements is that they have resolved the dumping issue. My campground does not have sewer hookup for most of its sites.

Here is the form to complete and submit to WBCCI with payment to register for one of their sites.

"It's not usually so hot here this time of year."

For the '05 International here in Springfield, Mo., EXPECT it to be hot. And humid. Granted, sometimes it isn't, but perhaps five times a century.
