This Forum will be held in Yreka, CA September 10 thru the 13 at the Siskiyou Golden Fair grounds. Our Rally will be in conjunction with the Single Cylinder Tour Registery. This is antique cars from 1901 to 1909.

We need 30 sign ups to make this rally work.

The cost for the camping is $60 for 4 nights. early or late arrivals can be arranged.

Yreka is the near the top of the State. 45 minutes from Ashland, Or. So you get the best parts of Northern CA and Southern Oregon.

Don, is there a website about the antique car show? Sounds interesting! Are there hookups at the fairgrounds? Why do we need 30 rigs to make it work? Are you serving as wagonmaster? Is there a charge to enter the car show?

Howdy Jim, There is not a formal "car show" as of yet. Here is what is presently planed for Thursday. The 40 plus cars will meet with us at the fair grounds. They will be having a fun rally around our camping area. They are talking about running such events as: Mother in law race. This is done by having the driver of the car blind folded. (These cars go about 10 miles per hour) Then the person in the back set gives directions as to how far to go when to turn etc. This one sounds like great fun. They also do a kind of hockey game. As much as we all like to laugh. I'm sure we will all have sore sides.

On the other days they will be doing tours around the greater Shasta Yalley, Yreka area. I'm sure we can follow along on any of the days.

There is water and electrical hookups. There is also a dump sight at the fair grounds.

I was thinking about maybe advertising the events on Thursday and having an open house of Airstream trailers, etc. for the public. This is open and up for comment by those who want to attend at this poing.

We need 30 rigs to meet the price the fair grounds is giving us.
I'm thinking about inviting the Tin Can Tourists as well. What do you think.

There will be no charge for the cars because they will be part of our event.

These are real cool people. We have had just as much fun with them as we have had at every Airstream event.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Fairground area where we will be camping and the covered eating area we will have available to us. It is open on one side and looks out onto the area where the trailers will be parked.

I'll include aditional pictures of some of these type of cars in future posts if anyone is interested.

Janet, thanks for the feed back. I hope everyone has guessed that the single cylinder cars would not be pulling Airstreams. I created that avatar as an attention getter. Two separate rallys at the same place at the same time.

Hello All. I can't get to Yreka, but I was there last summer overnight on my way to a forest fire in Happy Camp. Beautiful country. Wish I could go!

Sounds like a fun weekend, and within range of the Condo if we can get an early start and avoid meltdown in Redding... Assuming there is ample 30A power for the A/C, it's worth a serious discussion with Dianne... Might also get some of the southern OR crowd who enjoy sunshine more than cool wet weekends at the beach...

Condoluminum, Yes on the 30 amps, By this time in September the weather is gerneally cooler but nice. It would be nice to see you, Also the single cylinder cars are great photo ops.
