This is starting to get close to home - I live in Templeton, just south of Paso Robles/Lake San Antonio. I hope you haven't lost any targeting skills. Just to be safe, make your target runs to the north of the lake.
I can't go camping at the rally, but may be able to take a quick partial day-trip. What is the protocol for doing this? I've read about "rally crashers", don't want to offend anyone, just check out all the folks with their rigs. And maybe launch a spud.

I can't speak for all, but would definitely welcome you if you want to visit.
If you want to partake in the dinner, simply bring a dish, like everybody else.
You will likely have to pay the day use fee at the entrance to the park.

Thank You. I'm not sure when/if I can get up there due to fire season, but would love to. I'd like to see some of the "veteran" users of this site, and some of the trailers that I'm almost feeling like I know here.

By the end of October fire season will be over or winding down. See you there.

People being offended by rally crashers? How ridiculous. At NorCal rallies, we love rally crashers. As matter of fact, 2 rally crashers at Luguna Seca went out and bought their own and Cam has been at every rally since. And rally crashers are welcome to the big dinner. Don't even worry about a dish as there is always too much food anyways. I would also say it looks like the beverage end will be well covered as well (margarita balls, wine boxes, and octberfest beer- wow).

I agree with the "no such thing as a rally crasher" idea. Why not encourage people who weren't able to plan ahead (for whatever reason) to just come when they can. As long as everyone is paying for their own camp site who cares? The more the merrier! There is always enough food and most people bring something to share anyway. Has there really ever been an actual serial rally crasher? I seriously doubt if an Airstream owner would drive all the way to a rally just to score a free meal!

Late arrival
Just FYI, we won't be arriving until pretty late Friday. I'm a night owl though, and after my husband and kid(s) go to bed, I'll come to the rally site!

Wow!! 37 have signed up as of this morning. People are coming from all over California and even from neighboring states, it seems. Looks like Lake San Antonio is an epicenter of sorts.
Big Dee, is this a record for a NorCal gathering?

I don't believe that list is anywhere close to being accurate. People have said they got signed up without meaning to and since many have never posted anything I believe the true list is much smaller. But I do believe this will be the largest rally ever. It's going to be fun, fun, fun with this large group. Especially with all this talk about sipping tequilas and margarita boxes!

Geocaching
I'm bringing my GPS and going geocaching with Babeebloos. Come join us! One caveat; must be after 10 am.

I would volunteer to PM each of those signed up to confirm so we could get a more accurate count. We still plan on filming the rally so it would be helpful to know just how many rigs will be there and when their expected ETA is at the campo.

Murray- great idea. Let me know what you find out. I bet the real number is around 25.

Hello Everyone
We wanted to let you know that we "The 4happycamprs" will be at the rally. We will be coming up on friday (we live only 45 or so mins. away). BUT....this will be our first time taking our trailer out in public (besides towing it home from Oregon) and we do not know what we are doing ! We have only tent camped and we are not so sure we know how to hook up all the hoses and such and if everything still works! . It should be very interesting, educational, but mostly alot of fun ( if worst came to worst at least we know how to rough it in a tent). So keep you eye out for an '66 Tradewind and 4 "confused" happy cmprs with alot of questions to ask.
Hmm...I'm still deciding what to bring to the potluck.
