NorCal Rally, Lake San Antonio, October 26-28
Hey Everyone!
Well after over 1700 posts, it's time to put the Casini Rally thread to rest. What an awesome thread that was but time to think about which weekend in October we want to rally. We may want to reserve the group area this time, since our group is getting so big. But we had no problem last time so idk. First we need to decide on a weekend.
Lake San Antonio (Monterey county) is in beautiful California Oak country. There are many things to do though I never seem to get away from the campground during the rallies. But there is fishing, swimming, hiking, boating, biking, wine tasting, and much more. It is a big county campground with full hookups. Here is the website: Lake San Antonio

October 8 is a holiday for some. It doesn't matter to Lynn and I because we have the luxury of going and coming when we want. But those of you who may wish to make it a long weekend we're in whenever.

October 5-7 is the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. Some of our usual suspects have already committed to that, I believe.
I vote for the weekend after that, since there's another forum gathering Oct. 26-29 at Bolsa Chica State Beach.

what uwe said
..........we are going to the Balloon rally and plan to come home over ?3 days. The third weekend is probably best for us, so we can get home, clean and restock and then travel up on the 18th. October is going to be a fun month!! Debbie

I voted for the 1st weekend because it's a 3-day weekend for me. I am consumed by work-related conferences the rest of the month. It is close to home so I'm flexible. I can always just come up for the day.

The Balloon Rally is October 5-9 with probably some travel days on either side of those dates. There are a lot of us signed up for that one so if it's in October the later the better.
Also let's keep it simple. It worked well last time at Lake San Antonio to just show up and pay for our own reservations. There seemed to be plenty of space at that time of year...except for all the wild turkeys and the family of trolls living under DG's trailer.

Last weekend would be the only weekend for us. We are going to Bull Shoals the 2nd weekend and I work the rest of the time.

TROLLS!!! Ah, they probably were hiding there from the turkeys......or for some ZIN that may trickle down from the Excella.

Lake San Antonio
We had such a great time at last year's rally at Lake San Antonio. The campground was perfect for our big group. We're really looking forward to going again this year, especially since we missed Cassini.

Hi airdrmr! *waves*
Hope to see you again soon...even before LSA in the fall.
Check out the thread California Streamin' about a possible Santa Barbara Rally in July. Everyone come on down-up-over!

Hi Laurel! Yes, I just caught onto the Cal Streamin' thread. If we're around, you can count us in.
I was thinking about you this past weekend when we were camping in Pismo. We took some side trips to Avila, and SLO. We even took the kids to the Madonna Inn for lunch (can you believe I've never eaten there in my whole life?) Taylor thought she had died and gone to heaven when she saw all the twinkling lights, fountains, and pink fluffy cakes everywhere. It was a fun weekend.

well...
Not that I really have a say, with no trailer STILL, but I voted for the 2nd weekend. Mostly because I haven't seen Uwe in forever. But any weekend would work. Casini and LSA are the only rallies we go to, otherwise we need to spend $$ and time on the rig.
There's a chance we may even be in a trailer by then...but I promised nametags last time too, didn't I?

Another Nor-Cal'er in Albuquerque...
Looks like we're going to Albuquerque also.. Second weekend may be conflicted, but third or fourth look excellent...
