Michelle,
There are two sensors, both have 2 male spade lugs.
There are 2 camping worlds in my path, I'll call ahead.
Chief, if they don't have them i'll take you up on your generous offer. Thanks.
D man, thanks for the info.
Leaving TX in the morning. Can't wait!

Well, I was hoping to be able to free up the valves for furnace and water heater but it ain't happening. We are bringing ceramic heaters for heat so we'll be good there and I assume they have hot water in their showers so that's that. I think I will try to stop at the Camping world and pick up the valves and hopefully some of you knowledgeable Airstream guru's can supervise (i.e. tell me what to do). I just hope I don't get the valves changed only to find another problem. I wish I could have got this fixed before leaving but I have run out of time, we are leaving tomorrow as soon as my wife is finished visiting w/ out of town family friends( should be on the road by 1 pm). We are probably going to stop at Lake Lowndes State park just south of Columbus, MS., unless the family visit ends early and we can get on the road early then we will go on to Meridian, MS. and stay the night around there.
I have been putting in a lot of late nights working on the camper to be ready for this trip as I promised the wife when we bought the Argosy that we would be able to use it as I restore it and that is just what we are going to do. We also didn't get the curtains made so I,m going to pick up one of those large motorhome sun screens to cover front windows. I ordered fabric from Buyfabric.com, that the website said was in stock, about 1&1/2 months ago and I still haven't received all of the fabric and I'm not happy about it.
I want comments and opinions on my paint sceme for the camper, I'll try to post a couple of pics before leaving tomorrow for those not attending the canopener. It's 1:45 am here and I have a little more painting to do before I hit the sack. See y'all there.

Glad to hear nothing is stopping you. Soak down those valves with penetrating oil before you leave and let them soak for the trip, this may free them up or at least make them easier to replace. I assume you are speaking of the propane supply valves (cocks) those are normally easy to free up.
Be sure to add a carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, and propane detector to you items to pickup if you have not done so already. You can always just place them on a counter top until you install them.

Drat. We're in Lake City, FL right now and have to check in at Crystal River today. Just no way we can get back up to the Can Opener right away.. too many miles already say the Furkids!! Anyway, we'll miss meeting all of you and getting suggestions on our planned renovations! Sounds like you're going to have a blast...(and gain a pound?? ). Are any of y'all going to the Springstream in GA??
MrMossy, sure would like to hear more about the curtains you guys are doing... We have our material and waiting to find a spot large enough to set up and start sewing!
Happy New Year everyone!!! Have a glass of wine for us!

I leave Jacksonville tomorrow for Alachua for a minor repair and then will be taking the back roads to Santa Rosa.
I expect to arrive around noon on Thrusday. I spent a good chuck of today cleanign, packing, checking the tire inflations and lug nut torques.

Back Roads
Michelle.
Are you planning on going thru Tally,St,Marks,Perry and those places? If so please be carefull if you drive thru at night.I have a friend who lives around the St,Marks area and he told me to drive from hwy75 to there and not hit I 10.I was doing the speed limit until I counted more than 100 + deer on the side of the road and that alone made me drive 30 to 35 mph even though the speed limit was a lot faster. It scared the crap out of me and worst of all...One of them was startled and started to run with me but luckily it went off into the woods.I am never going thru there again at night.I dont know how the daytime is but I would think they dont really hang out on the side of the road then.If you do go just be carefull.

Cold Weather Airstreaming
Temperature has now dropped into the 50s here in Central FL, and is supposed to be in the low 20s or 30s by Thursday morning. We will be departing here and heading north to the Can Opener on Thursday morning.
2air, Devoman, and others up there already: What's the weather like and how are you coping?
Our Daisy isn't winterized. Is there anything that I should do before pulling up into the freezing temperatures?
Thanks,
Randy

Here at Santa Rosa Beach (where Tops'l is located), it is predicte to go down to 28 degrees tonight even at the coast. We live 3 miles from Tops'l, and I was just outside dripping the outside faucets on the house. It is supposed to get even cold tomorrow night. It should start warming up a little after that, though.

I was looking for the post on how to avoid the toll bridge, but alas
from 10:
Is it by taking 110 thru Pensacola to 98?
Is it by taking 281 to 98?
I may be a day early, in 166.
wed instead of Thurs, hope they can find a spot for me for the early day.
Advance scouting party, what do you think?

Three of us are leaving Pensacola about 9AM, need to stop at a few RV places along the way in the hope of finding a gas valve for the Attwood hot water heater.
We should be in there before 12.

Curses!
Fie upon the weather, but I'm not winterized either... I've never run my furnace on the road, but I guess I'd better think about it, or at least stop every 3 hours or so and run it for 20 minutes. Coffee break time! I'm leaving at OH-DARK-THIRTY tomorrow morning, planning to arrive before 5pm on the 4th.
I'm coming south on I-95. Mapquest advises going all the way to eastern FL, then taking I-10 accross to Destin, but I'm considering cutting the corner at Savannah and catching 84 to 319 to I-10 in Talahassee. Aerial image looks to be mostly 4 lane and will save 50-60 miles. Input anyone?
Paula

No worries
no worries.I think you will be fine.It was really cold here last night so I just turned my furnace on and set it to 60 degrees and let it run all night.I just turned it off a while ago since it is a bit warmer now. 35 degrees .Now that is some cold weather for here.I probably wear a jacket not even 1 month out of the year. The rest is with shorts and a T-shirt.

For those of you that don't know you can take Hwy 331 south from I-10 you avoid the toll road and when you hit Hwy 98 you go west about 4 miles and you are at Topsail.

we're at Tops, here from Ft. Lauderdale. We didn't know they made it so cold in Fl! Guess we needed to see if our furnace works - thank Goodness it does :-)
We came here early hoping to explore new beaches and lay of the land but too cold to do much. We've met two Streamers very nice and real helpful. Tops is pretty with wooded lots. No WiFi here which is bummer for us working folks.
Looking forward to meeting the rally folks. C'mon down - and bring some warm air with you, or at least hot toddies.

Looks like it will be warming up by the weekend, though. Highs around 60 and lows in the low-mid 50's. That's winter in the south for you!
