I just received email from Normandy Farms about a New Years Eve dinner dance. Tickets go on sale Nov 1. Sounds like fun. As of now, about 20-25 campsites are still available

How much are the tickets and campsites and what do they expect to have available for amenities?

Here is a link to Normandy Farms website which provides a good description of amenities: http://www.normandyfarms.com/

I wrote an email requesting the ticket price. Will post when I receive an answer

Here is the reply I received from Normandy Farms

The New Years Eve Tickets go on sale November 1st and they're $20.00 per person. That would include the dinner buffet, a champagne toast at midnight, the dj and dance, party favors to ring in the new year, and guaranteed seating for the dance. You will also have to be staying for a minimum of two nights here at Normandy Farms to purchase those tickets.

Yes we are! AND:

WARNING: Another shameless plug

Chilly Man Rendezvous

The New England Unit will be holding a early springtime rendezvous at Salisbury Beach State Reservation! Remember how cold it was at this year's "Spring into Camping" Rally? Well, it should be even colder next year as we will be holding this event at least two weeks earlier.

Dates will be April 13-15 OR April 20-22. It depends on when the park opens for the season.

So plan to come and freeze your bums off with us! Details to follow.

Another Year Round Campground in New England

Here is another year round campground in the New England area. It is close to Mohegan Sun casino in Conn.
http://www.strawberrypark.net/ We stayed there once and it was a very good park.

OK folks...it's decision time!

We need to make a decision soon on where we are going so we can make reservations. I've added a poll for those of you interested in attending this event -- choose which CG you are most interested in:

1) Normandy Farms near Foxboro, MA -- http://www.normandyfarms.com/
2) Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH -- http://www.danforthbay.com/
3) Stawberry Park in CT -- http://www.strawberrypark.net/

We purchased a mattress heating pad last year and use it all the time now for cooler weather camping. It's great for pre-heating the bed and for keeping all those nasty drafts away. For the trailer, I think it works better than a heated blanket because it helps keep the drafts away that seep in between the mattress and the walls.

Will it be at Danforth Bay or somewhere else? I kinda like the idea of the indoor heated pool and hot tub that Normandy Farms has. I could get spoiled!

Winter Rig Or Rent is set for Danforth Bay. Should probably start another thread, so this one doesn't wander.

It looks like Normandy Farms has the best pool and hot tub as both are indoors and kept active year round. Danforth Bay has a nice pool but unfortunately it is seasonal. <brrrrrrrr>

Any more interest in New Years Eve camping in New England? As of this post, we have three people interested in Normandy Farms.

FYI...hiker just checked with Normandy Farms CG and the sites are going fast. Currently, there are only seven sites still left for New Years eve, D5, D6, D8, E5, E6, H1, F3. If you are planning on going, please reserve your own site and let us know what site you are on.

Here's more information:

Site map: http://www.normandyfarms.com/site_ma...es/sitemap.jpg

The sites left which I listed in the post above, all have sewer and cable. There is no water turned on but if you want to fill your tank you can at a certain location in the CG they have water turned on.

Phone number: 866-673-2767

I just reserved site #E5 for Saturday and Sunday evening. I plan on calling back on November 1 to reserve the New Year's Eve party tickets too. Please note that you won't be able to buy New Years eve tickets unless you stay for 2 nights.

I hope to see more Airstreams there!!!

Just reserved site #D5 for Sat and Sun evening. Who needs to travel South for the winter when we can have such fun here in New England?
