John- I am sorry to say, Patti and I (#28) can not make it after all, and it hurts to drop out after the great time we had last year....we were so looking forward to the event and also helping host the "bring a beer, take a beer" social event, the food, and the companionship, the possum... but looks like our newest grandchild, and my middle son's first baby, is deciding to arrive this week.... sometime in the next few days, we are being told...so sorry to drop out....I am sure you will all still have a great time...look forward to the pictures.

Looking more like autumn all the time. We're looking forward to driving through the mountains tomorrow to see how the foliage has changed from Thursday.

Around our house, it's looking more like autumn. Here's a picture in front of our house while I was walking the dogs. We're at about 2,000 feet in Young Harris.

Looking forward to camping, and hopefully playing some guitar (acoustic, electric, or bass guitar) with anyone else interested in jamming.

Howdy all. For any GPS users, the turn into the Rally Parking is very close to 324 Resistoflex Road, Marion, NC. which can be entered as a destination. As John pointed out, do not go to the Camping World because it is not easy to navigate through the parking lots to the actual camping area; instead enter from Resistoflex Road.

For some folks, this will help: here is a Google Maps satellite view (North is up on this map screenshot: I just realized that the drawing of the park has South up. Keep in mind the river is south of the park).

Hello! We are new to Airstream (90 days in), camping and what a “Rally” is and got wind from our camping neighbors that your Rally is an hour a way from us this week. We are wondering a little more of what to expect and wanting to know a few questions to help make our decision on what to expect and if we should come.

Would you be open to giving us insight on the following questions?

-Do families go? Will there be people with kids? We have 2, 7 and 12.

-Is it too late to register?

-Are spaces available for water and electric hook ups?

-Can you come for a portion of the time or do you have to stay for the whole thing?

-Looking to learn Basic Operation of our Airstream.

We are looking to connect with other people like us, traveling, road schooling and adventuring!

Here is the skinny on us We (my family and husband) are new to Airstream and Camping but have jumped in with both feet and are traveling for a year as a family in our Airstream Interstate Van. We have an opportunity to go to a rally this weekend about an hour away and are thinking about changing our travel plans to go and check it out!

Families are very welcome! If you don't have a family with you when you come then you may have one when you leave, an Airstream Family.

There will be kids. I am bringing two. My oldest is away at college and is sad he can't make it this time.

There seem to be plenty of water and electric sites. To sign up, just reply to this thread and say you're coming.

I am positive you'll be able to find someone (or many someones) to help you with the basic operation of your Airstream.
