The leak is coming from somewhere else. When was the last time you cleaned out the seams and resealed. All vents will need work too. Come talk to Steve and Nancy at site S -21. We are in our 65 Trade Wind with Vermont plates. We also have a63 Globetrotter.

We have finally got home after the American Revolution Caravan, Jackson Center and Alumalina. Latha enjoyed cooking hotdogs and helping with the fish fry. Winning the apron was apropos. We enjoyed the venue, the people, the camaraderie, and put us on the return list.

1992 B190 Airstream felt the love

John, THANK YOU and all the other fine folks that worked tirelessly to make Alumalina a success. It was fun to meet some really great new friends, connect with old ones and learn new camper tips. Thanks to all that traveled so far to attend this gathering. Loved the venue.

Thumbs up 2018 Alumalina rally reflections

Mr. Sandlapper and Susan,

Thank you for a great Alumalina Rally. It was great to see friends from around the US and Canada who were able to attend. It was great to see a number of first timers to Alumalina and I hope they had a good time discounting the rain we had on Friday. But as you said, the weather comes at no charge, rain or shine. I thought everyone still had a good time. The dinners were filling and good. You all did a great job serving the attending folks with good hot food.

I heard from a number of returnees about the Possum bog. Everyone was pleased with the quality and quantity of the possum and other white meat in the bog. Ronnie and his cook crew did an excellent job.

Rita was a hit with all of the folks I talked with during the afternoon and at dinner. I hope she was not exhausted after Saturday. I look forward to her attending future events in her own style.

I pray that everyone drive to home was safe and uneventful.

Until we are together again, be safe and "We will see you down the Road."

Kind regards,

John & Anne

First I want to thank John and all his helpers for another great camp out we had a blast even stayed an extra day to wind down. I want to thank everybody for the good words on the Milk Truck project and let everybody know we made it home without issues. This is the link to the on going project https://www.facebook.com/Milk-Truck-...1544637269235/
Now I think next year I need to bring a Cement truck to build that fire place I so missed this year, what do you think?

Thanks to John, Susan, Terry, Annie and all the crew who worked to make this happen. It was great seeing everyone and we are looking forward to next year. Missy was taken ill (it wasn't the possum!) so we missed most of the activities but we'll do better next year.

Alumalina 2018 Rocked!

To John & All the staff of 2018 Alumalina,
You made this the most enjoyable event all the way around. It’s astonishing how y’all can bring this many people and campers together in such an organized and fabulous way!!
I was on an adrenaline high as I soaked up knowledge, resources, renewed last years friendships, and made some brand new friends to see along the way! The Lock Guy linked me to a $10 item which saved me from having to get a dead bolt lock installed! Thank You so much for everything!

I want to thank John and his helpers for a fabulous rally. It was first class all the way, starting with the selection of the rally site. There was room for everybody, even room for expansion that will surely happen, a pavilion for protection from the elements and close to town.

I used to go to BMW motorcycle rallies in my younger days and this rally was very similar. The BMW rallies involved traveling to a campground and meeting up with like minded BMW owners from all over the country. You got to look at their motorcycles and camping setup, some meals were provided and door prizes were given. I have to add here that none of the BMW rallies were organized and executed to the degree of this Alumalina Airstream Rally- thanks to John and his crew!

There were lots of beautiful modern and vintage Airstreams, but these 3 were my favorites: a 66 Caravel (James Schaal, 16 years old), a 76 (?) Safari and a 73 Sovereign International.

I look forward to returning next year.
