That was the point of my post, Mollysdad, a cable that passes thru both tanks and over the tank cover padlocked to the coupler. I dont like giving anything to thieves at least without them doing a little work for it.
I'm not interested in drilling anything. The ones that a re bolt-on are perfect and, I hadn't considered the cover being another reason to secure the tanks too!.

I've been using a bicycle cable lock on mine. Looped over the wingnut and tank cover brace a couple times then through both tanks.
It's a PITA to remove when I need to refill. But, that is the point, making it difficult to remove.
