Old WBCCI number

I have a 1968 Land Yacht Ambassador with number on the back and front of 8774 is this a wbbci number. And if so is it possible to get this number when I join?

The number 8774 is not currently shown as being in use in WBCCI 2009 directory. I believe if the number has been out of use for two full years, it may be requested by a new member. I have seen numbers no longer in use requested by two new members within the past year. One got the number they requested, the other did not as the number was not in the directory, but had not been out of use long enough.

When you fill out the membership application, request that number. The person handling membership for the unit you join can contact WBCCI in Jackson Center and, if it is available at that time, you can get it.

That would be nice since the airstream has been in the family that I can tell since its birth to my grandmother and to my father now myself. Hope that I can get it i love the ghost numbers and would like to keep it.

If the trailer has been in your family since it was new, someone in your family must have been a member of WBCCI with that number. Your grandparents perhaps?

Yes It would have to be. I do not believe my father did any memberships at all. The last one should be under Young in Utah

Looks like you have a good chance to get that number. That would be a fun tribute to your grandparents. Keep some history alive. Perhaps you could find some old photos with them and the trailer. Might get lucky enough to see the number also.
