Intraclub for those who still work?

Not sure if this has been brought up earlier, but I am wondering if there would be any interest in chartering a WBCCI intraclub that focuses on members who are not yet retired?

The reason I bring this up is that retired vs still-working represent quite different camping styles. The central club is, and has been, more focused on those who are either retired or have fairly long periods off from work, such as teachers.

Yep, that's us. I'll be in harness for at least 7 more years (or more if my investment keep doing what they're doing most of the time). Count us in.

I guess a TAC intra-club of the WBCCI would be a bit much... LOL!

I am doubtful of the advantages of a working members' intraclub of the WBCCI. To do it you would have to find a bunch of people to serve as officers, who will be obligated to attend the International every year for your annual meeting, get a constitution and bylaws approved by WBCCI, etc., etc., etc.

All this work seems to be counterproductive to your intention. Why not just organize forum rallies now and then and skip the WBCCI intraclub overhead?

Not sure if one has to send a representative to international for meetings. Some units do not bother and they still work fine. Meetings, etc, can be done electronically. The structure does not have to be onerous, although a smaller amount is likely needed to keep it together. For those who know me, I am pretty low key and I am not looking for another outlet for politics. On the contrary.

It would be nice with a bit more continuity

With regards to running things just as AirForums rallies. It would be great with a bit more continuity. If you've been around, you know that these discussions have shifted from airstream.net, to airstreamcentral, to these forums and wbcci.net as well as Facebook. And that is only over the course of 10-12 years! Never mind all the other off-shoots. Who knows where we'll have these discussions 5-10 years from now. One thing is for sure, however, there will still be owners of Airstreams that have not retired. WBCCI will likely continue to be around even though it'll have to reshape itself just like the Airstream company has over the years.

Such an intraclub would not be a substitute for these forums or another place to chat. This place is just fine for that.

Nova

NOVA is a good start. We can be found at NOVA! - NOVA
We are a bunch of folks who like to have fun camping, and have our meetings online, in chat rooms etc.
You might find us a good fit if you are still a working family and not retired. We join and hold rallies and are WBCCI. We also have fun doing airforums rallies and having a good time. We have members from lots of states and even Canada.
Check us out.
