Tow hitch receptacle

We managed to scrape off the tow hitch receptacle on a steep driveway. Does anyone know what style receptacle is standard on the the sprinter 3500 or does airstream modify it to accommodate other vehicles like a travel trailer? I'd like to replace it with the style originally installed. We went to Mercedes today and they couldn't figure it out citing their sprinter expert comes in on second shift.

The Interstate Manual says this:
"Units have hitches and wiring installed from the Sprinter manufacturer. The Sprinter 7- way connector is used for lights and charge line on a trailer. For further information, please see your authorized Sprinter dealer."
So definitely something the Mercedes dealer should be able to help you with.

It's a standard round 7-pin connector with blade-style pins. AKA Bargman Style.

No not the hitch receiver, the receptacle next to the receiver to connect the toad electrically.

Look into Hopkins. They offer a lot of OE style replacement connectors that plug in no splicing. Not sure if they offer yours but MIGHT be common to Dodge.
