Inverter not powering up.

Inverter not powering up. 150a fuse good. House batteries good. Have power to a solenoid? Not on schematics. No power at other side of solenoid. No idea what triggers it. Help!

We need a year and model on queries such as this.

It sounds like the solenoid might be the recall "fix" Airstream had for about 2014 models. That solenoid is a piece of junk and fails often. The purpose was to turn off AC to the inverter when the disconnect switch at the door is turned off.

On my 2014.5, I replaced the solenoid with a heavy-duty manual battery switch. On later years, Airstream replaced it with a second motorized switch.

What’s the trigger? I believe you want to know what powers up the inverter. If that is the case. On my 2015 international the inverter on off switch is located on the fresh water black water grey water indicator panel. I apologize in advance of this is not what you are asking.

The solenoid is controlled by the disconnect switch at the door. You should be able to meter the wires into the solenoid to see if the solenoid is getting power.

There is also the motorized red rotary switch by the fuse panel. That switch is also controlled by the disconnect switch at the door. That switch should be rotated to the clockwise position if the door disconnect switch is turned on.

The question referred to an Interstate where the inverter situation is completely different from trailers.

At least as much as the fuse that feeds it.

Because the solenoid was a recall addition, it is not shown in the schematics in the user manual. I believe the power wires through the solenoid would be on 20 amp CG #4. The control wires for the solenoid would tie into the disconnect switch at the door.
