Yes, you need to get a data-only SIM card, not an iPhone SIM card. Best to do it at Verizon and know your device’s IMEI number, it should be on the peplink box you received.
I should have added - 4G. The stock Airstream Connected devices don’t support 5G connections, but you’ll be getting the same data plan either way. You just won’t get 5G speeds from it.
Your needs might be different than ours but we found that AT&T has a 20GB/month plan for $300 per year is perfect for our needs and the amount we use our AS I19. You get an AT&T prepaid SIM, sign-up online, put the SIM card into the Peplink Router and your done.
Easier for us to just stay with Verizon. Will see if they have something similar.
Not sure the AT&T option is still available.
