It's because he has strap type Jacks. They offer No Positioning help at all. Hensley Cub is the same way if the chain option is selected....but they provide a metal bar to hold the head still.

Call ProPride with your questions. Their customer support was excellent when I was installing my ProPride hitch.

Don’t hesitate to give ProPride a call. They will walk you through any setup questions you have, while you are hands on. Very helpful and excellent customer service.

Agree. Great support. On a Sunday I received a return email within 15 minutes. Also a phone consult about as quickly that weekend. Made me wonder if these guys ever sleep.

Clearances

2015 30' International

Airstreams sit low, I barely had clearance out of my driveway on the torsion bars, & it's not an extreme sloping case. I would not want to loose any clearance at either end, therefore, I added a lift kit. I also had to rotate the stinger & play with the leveling pin to get the best near perfect stinger & trailer level position (my Ram tilts forward too). Downside, the first step on stair is 3" higher. I'll take that over some RR tracks to drag on.

Same here.

Does anyone use a PP without the lift kit? The places I go (including my driveway) require the lift.

I had to play with the adjustable hitch bar and leveling pin a bit to level the trailer. Seems that first try letter-to-letter by in the instructions was a notch low. Even in the PP video, they have to adjust it a one notch off the instructions IIRC.

I don't have a lift kit, just 16" wheels and tires, which gave me about 1/2" more height. My axles are now 16 years old, but still have a bit of downward tilt when fully loaded.

I can count the number of times my hensley contacted the ground on less than one hand...and never with my PP (yet). I am noodling a lift kit when I replace axles, someday.

I ran the PP for nearly a year while full-timing up and down the west coast and out to Alabama and back before installing a lift and 16" wheels/tires. I don't recall ever dragging any part of the PP, same can't be said of the rear of the trailer. We had some fairly acute angles to articulate over getting into and out of some campsites and gas stations. I had originally gone with an Equalizer because the PP looked like it hung so low. The Equalizer worked fine except for the shrieking metal on metal of its friction based anti-sway. I replaced it with the PP and have been extremely pleased with the decision.

Proper Front and Rear heights achieved 😎

Just for the record, the resolution was to invert the hitch assembly, and on that pivot bolt, I now have three washers in there. I tried to get four, but it was not possible. With three washers, the front of the AS is 16.5 inches, and the rear of the AS is 17 inches. That's good enough, I think.

Thanks again to everyone who provided such great feedback.
